Franki and Seoul hosts Lifeline Volunteers Pamper Night

Beauty from within: Beauty is Inside-Out, Outside-In.

Jayme and I were proud to host a special event to celebrate the beauty of the amazing Lifeline volunteers of Sydney & Sutherland on 8th December 2016 at the Wesley Mission Sydney City. This special night was filled with Korean food & K-Pop and Korean beauty pampering events. These incredible volunteers deserve to be pampered and Franki and Seoul wanted to be part of this celebration!

Volunteers and staff were pampered with home-cooked Korean food, gift bags from our brand partners (Aromatica, Whamisa and LJH) and Korean beauty pampering booths such as Face Mask Station, Skin Consultation Corner, Express Nail Bar and Photo & Interview Wall.  Shiral Critch was the lucky winner of Franki and Seoul’s Beauty Pack worth over $200.

Jayme trained to become a Lifeline phone counsellor, but had to end her journey due to our move to Seoul last year to start Franki and Seoul. Inspired by the amazing work of Lifeline and volunteers, we redefined beauty as Beauty is Inside-Out, Outside-In. We wanted to support these volunteers and show them a few ways to do self-care through what we know best: good Korean food and K-beauty!

Christmas is all about giving back to those who give so much to our community. These volunteers are the backbone of this incredible organisation, they support those who need a helping hand at the most difficult and vulnerable time of their lives.

“We receive many calls from people suffering depression, grieving the loss of a family member, or who are simply lonely,” the CEO of Wesley Mission the Rev Dr Keith Garner said.

“They have no-one else to reach out to, so they call Lifeline. For us, it’s about giving hope to those people whether on Christmas Day or any day of the year.”

Lifeline is a non-profit organisation that provides free, 24-hour Telephone Crisis Support service in Australia. Volunteer Crisis Supporters provide suicide prevention services, mental health support and emotional assistance, via telephone, face-to-face and online.  More than 11,000 dedicated volunteers are on-call throughout the country to receive over one million calls each year.

*Special thanks to our brand partners (Aromatica, Whamisa and LJH), Sue Banks, Pat Wood-Collier, Jordan Kapiotas and Lifeline Sydney and Sutherland & Wesley Mission Staff, Jen Chen, Amir Nashed, SydHOP and Young-Nam & Kyung-Ae Park, our parents who prepared and cooked all the delicious Korean food. We could not have done it without your kind support and help!
